BRIGHT BEAUTIES

The Matchbox Carousel collection Bright Beauties horses were brightly coloured horses with two-tone tails.

"Bright Beauties are highly detailed, brilliantly decorated and have multi coloured tails. " - Matchbox 40th Anniversary Catalogue 1990.

All six were pictured in the Matchbox 40th Anniversary catalogue 1990, however only Sunbeam, Sunset and Starry appear to have been released and subsequently pictured in the 1991 catalogue.

Sunset

Sunset is a light pink jumper carousel horse with a pink mane and hooves.  Like all the Bright Beauties, its special feature was a two-tone tail - pink and aqua. It has a yellow and pink saddle, a quilted blanket and blue, pink, yellow and aqua ribbon embellishments.  Its charm was usually aqua with a pink ribbon (US/Aus) and base was aqua.
